Poetry Contest

Deborah Rose (New Milford’s Poet Laureate) worked with the Commission and the New Milford Library to revive the annual Poetry Contest for residents. The Poetry Contest continued April 2024 during National Poetry Month. The Commission and the Library received entries, and the winners participated in a poetry reading at the New Milford Library in May. The winners in categories of Youth, Young Adult, Adult, and Senior were awarded small cash prizes, funded by the Commission.
