Arts Festival

In 2023, after a lapse of a decade, the Arts Commission revived the New Milford Arts festival. The festival features over 40 fine artists and artisans, as well as performances by local dance studios, music schools, and theater programs. Painting, drawing, mixed media, pottery, fine jewelry, woodworking, and fiber arts are among the fine and functional arts displayed on the historic New Milford Green. The Arts Festival is free and open to the public, drawing a summer crowd to view and purchase art directly from the artists. Attendees also visit the many beautiful shops and restaurants surrounding our Green. The 2024 Arts Festival was held on June 29th. Along with the artists and artisans, the event highlighted performances by students from Studio D dance studio, Bearclaw’s Academy of Music, TheatreWorks Kids, and the renowned modern dance company Pilobolus. The next Arts Festival is scheduled for June 28, 2025.
