The 2025 New Milford Arts Festival

The New Milford Commission on the Arts will host its third annual Arts Festival on the Green on June 28, 2025. The Arts Festival is a juried fine art and artisan show that also includes performances by local student dance, theater, and music groups.

The town of New Milford attracts many visitors to its unique shops and restaurants surrounding its historic Green. The Festival has drawn thousands of people its first two years.

Eligible Exhibits

  • Art and functional artwork must be original work created by the artist.
  • Commercially made products are not accepted.
  • The photos sent with the application MUST be of the same type of works that will be displayed and sold.
  • All displays must be appropriate for all ages.
  • The Commission reserves the right to remove inappropriate work.
  • Exhibits will be juried on a rolling process.

Registration Deadline: May 31, 2025.

Sales Tax: Exhibitors must have a valid Connecticut Sales Tax Identification Number.

Fee:

  • The non-refundable registration fee is $50.
  • Payment must be made once your registration has been accepted.
  • Your space will not be assigned until payment is made.

Sales: Artists handle all sales. The Commission does not take a percentage.

Booth Requirements:

  • Exhibitors must have a tent.
  • Exhibit space is approximately 10’ x 10’.
  • Tents must be weighted, not staked.
  • Stakes are NOT allowed on the Town Green.
  • Vehicles are NOT allowed on the Town Green.

Hours:

  • Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Booths must be staffed throughout Festival hours.
  • Exhibitors can set up Friday evening, June 27, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • The Commission will provide overnight security.
  • Displays must be ready by 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Amenities:

  • Wi-Fi service is available on the Green.
  • Electricity is not available.
  • Port-a-Potties are located near the Town Hall.
  • There is an abundance of restaurants on and near the Green; a list of restaurants will be available on the day of the Festival.

Weather: The Festival will take place rain, shine, or heat.

Marketing: The Commission will advertise the Festival through lawn signs, postcards and posters, social media, and press releases.

Terms:

  • The Commission or the Town cannot be held responsible for loss, theft, damage, or destruction of goods.
  • Exhibitors cannot make any claim against the Town, the Commission or other organizations involved in the Festival.
  • The Commission reserves the right to photograph participants and booths for publicity purposes and photos may be used in future website postings, social media, brochures, pamphlets, or flyers.
  • By submitting your application you agree to these terms.

Further Information: Where to park, assigned space location, and other relevant information will be sent to participants a week before the Festival date.
